Troubleshooting:

Power Issues

Power Requirements

Blowers and speakers require the most amount of amps. make sure you test the blowers and speakers early on. If you do blow a breaker you may need to split up the load by placing each blower on a different breaker. If you have more than 2 speakers than you may also need to put the speakers on a different breaker. If you are at a house, try running one blower to an outside outlet and the speakers or second blower to an inside outlet.

11 amps

Behringer B212D

5 amps at half volume (each)

Electro-Voice ZLX-12BT

  • 1 amps each @ ⅛ volume

  • 3.5 amps each @ half volume

  • 7 amps each @ full volume

Mackie SRM450 v2

2.5 amps at half volume (each)

Voltage Drop

The longer your extension cords the less voltage you will have at the end. If you have more than 250 feet of extension cords, you may have to put the screen blowers on one cord, and the electronics on a different cord. The some projectors will not work with less than 100 volts, by splitting the load you can help mitigate the total voltage drop.

Voltage drop of 120volts and 15amps

  • 100ft = 114volts

  • 200ft = 110volts

  • 300ft = 104volts

  • 400ft = 99volts

  • 500ft = 93volts

  • 600ft = 85volts

Voltage drop of 120volts and 7amps

  • 100ft = 117volts

  • 200ft = 115volts

  • 300ft = 113volts

  • 400ft = 110volts

  • 500ft = 108volts

  • 600ft = 105volts
